I see it as a well executed depiction of what was a military/historical reality. In truth the Third Reich is but one of many barbarous regimes guilty of mass atrociousness throughout the bloody history of mankind. The fact that so many seem to have issue with modeling these uniformed depictions appears to be linked to the fact that it is still within living memory. Funny how time seems to fade all of the previous horrors upon innocents in the minds of some, and there is little indignation over modeling THOSE brutal combatants.

I'll likely add this to my collection, which incidentally covers all nations, subjects and eras.

I won't add this to my collection - looks to much like a poster figure from the 1930s to me. However, I agree with Mike's assesment - many regimes were barberous and comitted attrocities e.g those commited by French troops in the 1790s-1800s in Italy against the population of some areas supposedly allied to them, Romans, the Mongols etc etc. The Nazi regime however created industrial brutality alongside that of Stalin (the starvation of many vassals such as the Ukraine or Kazakstan springsto mind).

Philipp Dwyer has written a great book on the topic of attrocities as has Sean McGlynn.

Sadly we live in times when extremism in all political specturms seems to be growing.

Just my musings.

Cheers

Basically, the SS sell well. Their uniforms look cool.*
This is historical in modelling and we all know this. I gather the only ones that don't are figures of the Nazi hierarchy - a bit near the bone I suppose. Yet generic servicemen seem okay.

* not my bag tough personally.

We will release soldiers from other countries this year. Send us a picture of your idea at [email protected]

I will!
I´m big fan of Eisernes Kreuz, I´ve painted the German Landser walking without helmet in 1:72 and the figure is stunning! Working on Oak leaf SS and winter soldat with mg42.
This is the result of your maginificient work!
Saludos
