You ask for feedback so I reluctantly have to say that from my perspective this is a very weak issue. Sorry. No show reports. I know you can't control the timing of shows but nothing to report? No WWII. No Napoleonic. Lots of colonial content that may appeal to some Europeans. Sorry I am being honest. I don't expect I will ever open this issue again and I never would have bought it on the news stand.

Regards

Colin

Hi Colin,

I appreciate the time you put on writing your comment.

I can't control shows, neither we have anything to report, or better, nothing that had images up to the standard we want. What else we should report if not shows? Mine is a genuine question.

We have articles ranging from the roman era to the beginning of the 1900, I really can't see all this colonial predominance..I'm sorry you are interested only in napoleonic and WW2, again we try (and fail) to cover most of the historical periods, looking at the fantasy as well, trying to please everyone taste.

I appreciate your comments and I'm sorry you had to buy this issue, our fault we haven't put the contents, eve though you could see the preview of the magazine before you buy it..I'll be happy to send you a full refund, just pm me.

Again, I appreciate your honesty but I honestly think your critique is unfair, as you do not discuss the quality of the content but the subjects that do not meet your criteria, and on this matter, we will never be able to fulfil everyone taste, I also am against the comment:" ..that may appeal some Europeans.." we never do anything for europeans or americans or asian, we do put our effort (and we may surely do mistakes) for everyone who enjoy and share the same passion we have, we don't discriminate by country, sex religion or anything else.

Thank you again.

Giovanni

Don't apologize Giovanni. It's just genuine feedback that you can use any way you wish. I am also interested in ACW, Crimea, WWI and many other periods. It's likely unlucky that nothing touched on any of these periods, except the toy soldier article on Chancellorsville. I just have little interest in Italian colonial or Eastern European. I was not accusing you of putting together the mag badly, just providing the asked for feedback. It's not surprising that an Italian magazine would periodically focus on Italian colonial history, nor is it surprising that these topics may possibly have less interest outside Europe (we may disagree on that). I am sure there are many in North America who will find some of your articles fascinating.

What would have redeemed it for me would have been some how to articles, but I recognize that you have to rely on people to write them.

A suggestion - if there are no shows scheduled, perhaps space out the reports a bit rather than have several in one issue and none in another. I recognize that this could make some show reports late.

I have a no interest in a refund. I have a subscription. When I buy any mag in subscription, some issues appeal a some don't. I was just responding to your invitation to "let us know what you think."

On balance I find your magazine to be very well done and interesting.

Regards

Colin

The problem is that it has to be read on line and cannot be downloaded-I won't be renewing my subscription in fact I haven't read the issues I have bought as I hate reading from a computer screen and was hoping by subscribing I would be able to download the articles of interest to me-I understand the issues of piracy but there is nothing to stop someone scanning the original and distributing it-if people want to do it they will find a way.

Keith,

I'm sorry to have to see you going, but that's something we can not do.

The all purpose of the digital magazines is that they are "digital" therefore you read them on screen, computer or tablets.

We have put lots of effort to create this magazine, and to go digital.

No one can scan the original has there is no physical copy of it, I'm sure that is someone wants to illegally distribute our magazine there is a way to do it, but we need to try and make it as difficult as possible.

Trust me the magazine is done with lots of passion and if you look at the economics, won't be worth keep on doing it, but we think we need to do our share to keep the hobby alive.

As Marc said, we can not satisfy anyone, we can only try.

Has been a pleasure having you among our readers.

Have a good day.

Hi Colin,

thank you for your post.

Again I appreciate the time you put to write your comment, but again I can't help if you do not like the content, We hope we would be able to put together contents of your like in the future.

We don't have americans readers in mind, neither italians or asian, we have modellers in mind, I' m fascinated by each and every modelling aspect.

As for the show, we try to have the report as soon as the show is done, this is a form of respect for the hard work of the organisers.

We will keep your comments and try to improve in the future, we hope to succeed.

Happy Easter.

Giovanni

Not a big fan of reading on my pad (old eyes!) but I do appreciate having the opportunity of access to a great magazine(y) . However, given the choice I would rather view it on a bigger screen.

Maybe one of you more technically able folk out there can help me. I can download the issues on my ipad but I can't seem to do the same on my laptop. Is this possible to so or can I transfer between my ipad and laptop? Like I said, I'm not afraid to use computers but I'm just not the most knowledgeable when it comes to them

Cheers

I agree with Keith, I would like to be able to download the mag...

So I am deliberating whether to take another purchase,

Hi Paul,

You need to go to www.pocketmags.com, login and you can read the magazine online on your computer screen.

Ron, you need to go to the app store, look for Soldatini International and download the app again.

Thanks

Giovanni

Ron,

I'm puzzled here.

Let's start from the basics:

You need to have a tablet which is connected to internet.

You need to download the Soldatini international app from the app store.

Once downloaded the app you go to the newstand folder, open the Soldatini International app and need to login with username and password you used to register to pocketmags, by clicking the small gear on the top right hand corner.

Once you have logged in you can click on restore purchase, again under the small gear on the top right hand corner.

You should see inside the app all the magazine issued so far from issue 102.

If you have subscribed you need to press download an you will get the latest issue.

Please do follow these steps and tell me if you did it right or where you find the issue.

Thanks

Giovanni

Ron, don't worry, just download the app.

You will find all the magazines once is downloaded.
