Ciao!

The brand new issue of Soldatini International is ready for you to be downloaded on your preferred device!

As we always do, this issue is packed with amazing content from the greatest artist around, and great works from military uniform experts.

We always try to cover as many historical period as possible and ask new modellers for their contribution.

We hope you will like it and will keep supporting us.

Grazie

Giovanni

This is the final issue of the 6 I subscribed for. I have to say I was disappointed. The magazine is superbly produced but a 6 issue subscription takes up too much room on my iPad to leave it there as a reference source and I find most of the articles don't appeal to me, as I have said before. The show reports have been overtaken by on line reports for quality of photography and sheer volume of figures shown. Please don't take this as criticism of your efforts. Just letting you know why I won't be renewing.

Good luck

Colin

it's running from saturday on my tablet.
I think it is now the leading magazine for the figure painters.
Awesome

Marc
Thank you Marc!

what if you do not owned tablet and you do not want either what then?

Hi,

You don't need a device (tablet or smartphone) because you can read it online via www.pocketmags.com.

Hope this helps.

Ciao

Hi Colin,

No offence taken, at the end of the day, we try our best to offer what we think works, and we respect criticism and your rightful decision not to renew the subscription, has been great having you with us.

As for the show reports, I agree that the quantity and immediacy of the photo online can not be beaten, but we think that the quality is still a plus on our side, we do take lot of care on our pics with a proper set-up and we avoid "on the fly" pictures taken with the model still on display.

But your view which is common with many people, that I fully understand, is the reason why many newspaper/magazine/publisher are shutting down, you can't compete with free and immediate content over the web.

I do use and abuse the web as well but I do want publishers to survive, that's why I buy and support all the magazine I can afford, from Figurines, to Figure international to more modelling ones.

It's my personal view I hope you won't take it as a criticism.

As for the space on your device, each magazine is only around 40mb not a lot and you can delete the older one, and download them again (free of charge of course) when you need it.

Anyway, thank you again and we hope to see you again anytime soon.

Giovanni

Giovanni - thank you for taking my post in the spirit in which it was meant. I really do hope you do well and I know there are a lot of modellers who would violently disagree with my view. I only posted as I think it's useful feedback for you. Your point about erasing and re downloading is well taken and is important for those who have limited storage space. I guess I am just one of those guys who likes the paper in my hand.

Again I hope your mag continues to thrive.

Colin
