You are right, we had to launch the special issue earlier, next time we will be ready and we will have more time between a normal issue and a special one.

I see the price has gone up by 20% compared to your normal mag price. Is this rise permanent or just for this issue?

This is just for this longer issues, after will go back to the normal price.

Of course if you have a subscription price won't be effected.

Hmm, I can see how the longer issue would affect the cost of a printed version (more ink, paper etc.) but I can't see how these costs translate to a digital edition of the standard magazine (i.e. not a special edition). Do the extra bytes really cost that much?

Sorry for being pedantic but I always try and be careful with my money and try to justify every purchase (at least to myself)

Point taken and I fully agree with your comments, and the reason is that to produce this issues had a big impact in costs to us.

Unfortunately adverts are not paying running expenses anymore and the editor had to take this decision.

I will talk to the publisher and refer your right comment, I promise you.

Thanks for the explanation Giovanni. I don't mind paying a little extra if it means that your production team can keep producing great magazines and I certainly don't mind paying a little extra for a magazine with fewer ads and more content.

Just finished reading it, IMHO it's an excellent issue!
It's basically a collection of very professional photographs of the high quality figures displayed at World Model Expo 2014, therefore the issue is worth having for reference.

I just tried out the Digital edition through pocketmags on my tablet. Is there a way to download a version i.e. pdf because right now I have to be online to read it. I would seriously consider a digital subscription if I could download issues when I need to. I travel and use my tablet to read on airplanes and would love to download issues so I can read them while not online.
