Soldier of the French Revolution - This 200mm bust is a recent release from Medieval Forge Miniatures, painted in oils and acrylics. The bust provides two choices of headgear - a bicorne, and the crested leather helmet that I chose. The drooping mustache was my addition.

Hi Kurt

Very nicely painted , do like the helmet on him , and the cross belts , the stripes on the waistcoat look very neat and the overall look , weathered works well

Always good to see your artwork

Why not enter something in the class of your choice in FOTM , don't forget we also have the Vignette & Diorama comp , please take the time to consider and also do vote as well

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next thread

Happy benchtime

Very nicely done.
I like the used and dusty appearance of the uniform and accoutrements.

Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks, Andrew,

All of my sources indicated that the French armies of that era were a pretty scruffy bunch when on campaign. That was the look I was aiming for.

Cheers,
Kurt

First class Kurt.....love these Medieval Forge busts....(y). Mike

Thanks, Mike,
There are a lot of things that I liked about this bust - the crested helmet, the extra shoes on the backpack, missing buttons on the vest and cuff. I do wish that the face was more expressive and facial features more prominently defined. All things considered, I’d recommend it.

Cheers,
Kurt

Lovely worn finish on this one Kurt. I’m with Mike (and many others no doubt) on these Medieval Forge busts/figures, they’re top notch and some great subject choices.
