Guys i am doing some crazy planning for this year besides the Greek and Italian competitions to go overseas in Pensylavania MFCA 2006. Is there any one to tellme few things on the expo;s official link, the exact dates , and everrything that could prove usufeul to my planning ?

Thanks a lot , and i also hope i will meet many of you there !!

Costas

Costas,
This is great news to hear :)
I'm looking forward to meeting you there in person.
The first info I can give you is the dates for the show.
They're Friday May 5 & Saturday May 6.
You can get a room at the hotel/convention center where the show is held if you like. This will probably be easier for you than going to a cheaper hotel/motel in the area as you won't have a car to get around in.
There is no official show website yet but I understand they are working on one.
I'll look up the convention center information for you tonight when I get home from work.
Let me know if there's anything more I can help you out with.

Craig thanks a lot for your kind help offer .

Some more issues since i have only beenin NY regarding USA.. i have to fly to NY and then by car to the place that the show will be held?

This means what time for travel?

The show is held in a big Hotel Showroom ?

Do you know the system of the competition, i mean if its open with categories or other system ?

..and many more that will come in time LOL

Looking forward to meet u buddy

Looks like a 2 hour drive.
MSN Maps

The show is held in the Valley Forge Convention Center. This is just outside of Philadelphia. It's a huge facility. most of the space is used for the vendors woth a smaller area set up for displaying the figures.

The show is an open competitiion format. the breakdown is along the lines of skill levels. You'd be in the Advanced (top level). This is broken down into Painters and Open levels. Painters is for stock figures and Open is for scratch built and converted figures.

How long are you going to be here? Philadelphia had a lot of US history to visit. And Washington D.C. is not too far south of Philadelphia.

Thanks for all help and answers Craig , i suppose that will be like a 5 days visit or something . Its not decided yet , i have to convince job to let me go !! and also i ll be coming with more Greeks !

Costas,
I thought I remembered another post on MFCA from a while back. Here's what I found...
Old MFCA posts
There's some useful info in it. I'll need to double check the phone numbers for you though. Just to make sure that they're still good to use.
Page 2 has a link to the MacIntosh motel. The link isn't working anymore but I can get you the info soon.
That's where we stay. Since you'll have a car, you might want to check it out. it costs less than the convention center hotel. And as mentioned, the convention hotel is not the best for reliability.

Costas,

Here is a reply I made a few days back to Stephens request,

Hey Stephen and the rest of you guys,

I spoke to Denis Levy last night and he gave me some info on the upcoming MFCA show and the one for 2007.

The 2006 show will be held at the Radisson on May 5-6. The phone number to the show is 610-337-2000 and the room/show rate is for $119. Here is a link to the hotel http://www.radisson.com/kingofprussiapa .

Now for some good news, Denis had in front of him a signed contract for the 2007 show and it scheduled to be held on May 4-5 at the SAME location!

Stephen,

Contact me when you have the chance on MSN for some additional info.

Joe

Costas, if you can, fly into Liberty airport in Newark, NJ. It's very close to New York but it may save you anywhere from 1-2 hours driving time to the show location.

Costas, I will be there too. Try to contact me privately so we can discuss some matters
