Here's some of my old stuff I photographed after dusting the cabinet.
Looking at them again, perhaps I should have dusted some of the figures too :D
I hope they may be of some interest

A very nice and interesting selection of subjects Paul,I like the guard grenadier

Thanks Brian appreciate your comments.
The grenadier is Airfix, with hornet head, bonnet and cords tilted earings of brass wire.
Left arm just sawed at the elbow, repositioned and the hand rolled around 180 degrees.
I have also 'crossed the scabbards' because of the weight of his hand pressing down on the sabre briquet hilt.
He has his belts attached now !
I am going to include him in my evening of waterloo diorama next year, but hidden away so it won't spoil the recreation of the painting.

Cool. These guys should not have been held in reserve so long :)

No real excuse Colin but I have had camera problems for too long!
I shall be posting more in the near future.
Thanks for your encouragement here,
(and everywhere else I have ever posted on the forum).;)

:) I agree with that logic john,
I wonder what's under those cobwebs there?
............oooooooooh look at that spartan,
where's me camera?
Paul

Paul, I will get my head around taking and posting some pictures........eventually:rolleyes: Why hide that Grenadier? He's grand....there's got to be a place in the ranks for him(y)

Cheers,
Alan

Thanks Alan,
Because I'm recreating the painting exactly, there's going to be empty spaces in 3d,
that aren't there from the painters viewpoint, and so although at ground level he would be out of place,
there will be 4 or 5 extra figures in the positions the painter stops us seeing.
Does that make more sense?
Paul
