Bought this nice bust (1:9 or 1:10) on the show in Kulmbach for only 10,00 Euro. I am not sure if everything is on the correct place and perhaps someone has a better photo perhaps from a painted bust.
And know someone the brand of the bust?

Thanks

Never seen this one before, though it looks very nice! Seems to be based on the clansman that Latorre sculpted in 70mm for Elite. I'd be interested in knowing who produces this bust too..

looking at it Ron I think it's bent out of shape and is meant to be straight if you look at the hilt
Steve

the blade was bent as I got the bust. Not really fix it. It is a special hard resin which I know from busts 20/30 years ago. I don´t know if the box is the original box, but in the box I found "Model: SF330KM, Carbon monoxide detector" and so I thing it is the wrong box but on the box is a sticker "Hobby Modellbau Mayk Höpfner, Mainz"

Hi Ulrich,I know Mäyk very good,he used to be a trader of figures Years ago and lived in Mainz. We are still mates so I will ask him when he gets back off holidays. He lives in Peitz now near Cottbus.Mäyk had the Boneparte range in his Shop and I am quite sure that this is a very old Boneparts kit.Is the resin Kind of like China/porcelene?
Regards
Pete

Hi Pete. Why I am not astonished that you know something? ;) Yes the resin is like porcelene. Do you know what special resin that is?

Hi Ulrich, dont know how they make it but all Boneparte Busts were made of it Years ago.I still have the Gladiator and Roman Standard Bearer here made out of the same stuff.
Regards
Pete

the sword looks all wrong Ulrich ,would think the blade should be straight

Ron

Interestingly there are a fair number of Scottish basket hilted broadswords of this period with curved blades. A significant number of sword blades were imported from Germany and fitted with the hilts in Scotland.
This is an example mid 18th Century, German blade and hilt fitted by John Allan of Stirling, National Museum of Scotland.

Hi guys,

Not sure but I think it might have been originally from Bonaparte's or maybe Celtic models ...might be wrong though ...I have seen this somewhere..in the past ...dark and distant !

If it's a cold touch porcelain like its Boneys

Del,

That's interesting about the curved blades ..nice one
