Brian,

Great job. You really captured him well. He makes me shiver looking at him. I know, "Because it's there.", but seeing how he was dressed, standing on a cold, wind swept, isolated, very tall mountain top, I still have to ask why.

That's wonderful Brian ! (y) As I said before, I love this !!! Someone ought to do a commercial range of explorers and other personalities who really added something to the sum total of achievements of humanity. 70mm would be a good scale...

Ah, but this brings back memories of a happy childhood, when my dad brought me that book you could get from Esso in the early 70ies ... all the explorers were in it - Leif Eriksson, Marco Polo, Columbus, Pizarro, Cortez, Francis Drake, Champlain, ... Henry Morton Stanley, Livingstone, ....

Great work,

Best wishes,

Johan

I agree. And Brian, as I said before I think it's fantastic!

Take Care

Great work Brian! That's a very unique and interesting choice, and you executed it very well.

What's next?

Mike, Johan, Steve, Steven, Evan and Quang,

Thanks gents for your kind comments - much appreciated.

Steve, no idea as to my next magnum opus - in the meantime, I'm "only" swapping the head and doing some minor pants surgery on my current figure (a Canadian WWII infantryman from my local regiment, the Highland Light Infantry of Canada).

Evan, the putty work was done exclusively with Milliput. So far, no adverse skin reactions and no cognitive malfunctugfsklgjelghpdhgdghkfflfl...

Quang - I don't believe I've ever seen you at a loss for words on PF - I'm flattered, well, beyond words!

Cheers,

Brian

Blame it on the rarefied atmosphere. ;)

It's not that we're already bored with Tenzing but what we planeteers, are expecting from you next is Richard Burton (sans Liz Taylor ) discovering the source of the Nile (with Lake Victoria as a backdrop, of course).

Let the kneading begins! :)
