Dear Friends,

First of all,let me introduce to you..My name is Antonio Velázquez, from Madrid, Spain...I'm 41 years old and I love painting figures from years....

I've been always interested in the Soviet-Afghan conflict as the predecessor of the actual War on Terror so, when my friend Dmitri Baev, owner of Soga Miniatures, talked to me about Sergey Traviansky and his 1/35 th scale figures I decided to paint a vignette related to this war...

Most of the figures are from the Evolution Miniatures Catalogue, except for one from Master Club...The heads are replaced with items from Hornet and Tank and some minor modifications as the afghanka of the machine-gunner

All the uniforms are painted with Vallejo's Khaki-Ochre-Sand palette, trying to make smooth variations of colour in the uniform of each figure...In order to give some vertical element to the pentagonal composition of the figures, I added a little wedgie made from the Trumpeter's Mil-Mi 8 tail rotor

I hope you like it...Questions and Critiques are welcome

very good composition.the faces as rest look highly lifelike.
it seems you are one of the talented guys.cheers to that.
nice to look at your work.if you have ,(y)please show more(y)
cheers

Excellent painting, from the helicopter to the figures to the groundwork. I really like the way you've incorporated everthing, and I think you could have used an even smaller base for a tighter composition.

I'll be saving a copy for future inspiration!

Very nice

Obviuosly lots of work went into this one. Very well painted and consrtucted. The groundwork is excellent and the tail piece of the chopper makes for a very original piece. Thanks for sharing.

Hi! Antonio.
Very wonderful DIORAMA.
Painting of a figure, arrangement and a ground work are amazing very much.
A wonderful masterpiece.
I congratulate completion.
