Hello friends,
I ´ve finished painting this nice bust from Young Miniatures.
I had a lot of fun and I hope you like it.

Regards, Günther

Dear Gunther, what a solid rendition! And to note and count the interesting differences between yours and the box art is a lot of fun also (e.g. Mr Ishii made sure there is a ton of contrast between colour of helment and jacket, pours over the fellow plenty of pink, gloss varnish the whole thing saving the face). Diffrent perspectives bring out totally different effects, and both are sumptious to look at.

I find the back of this bust to be particularly beautiful, and actually says more about Mr Ishii's artistic might (as sculptor) than the front. Would you kindly afford us a peek at how you did the back?

Cheers!

Gunther,i always look forward to seeing your work, again another piece of beautiful painting,i like the way you handled the black and the flesh tones look very nice,i have painted many Young busts and still have some to paint but i have never purchased this one,but having seen your piece i may be tempted to add one to my collection.

Excellent all around Gunther, the small details are just right and it's particularly nice how you handle the sheen and wear on the leathers! It's always good to see your work (y)
