I need to prime and polish. I accept suggestions if you see something wrong.

It's about my grandfather,he fought in the battalion Azaña (Vizcaya) 7 of the Republican Army (identified by the patch of left arm). He was the trumpeter of the Battalion, he is armed with a rifle mauser Czech VZ-24 that the Basque government managed to smuggle circumventing international blockade. You can identify he belongs to the army of Euskadi by the belt buckle.

He has located in “Cinturon de Hierro” (Iron Belt) on June 19, 1937 (the last line of defense the city of Bilbao), particularly in the battle of Archanda when Bilbao fell, near two months after the bombing of Guernica.
