Hey Pedro,
The yellow isn't bad at all. Maybe make it a little darker than what it is in this picture. What will make it or break it is what colour you use to trim the yellow. I'm afraid I'm not sure what would be the best way to go with that... My experience with this era is pretty slim.

Can't wait to see more progress on this one... will be great I'm sure (y)

Thank you Colin for the support! ;)
It may sound a little strange, but for a long a time I starred and starred and the yellow just didn't fit... and, like you, I didn't know how to work on it...
I found the Pegaso 75mm François L'ollonais figure painted by PF member Ernest, and I thought, maybe I'm gonna do something like this, since my breeches were in similiar tones.
So I painted the shirt in a darker blue and I'm going to work something similar to him, just to have an idea I live you a link for you to see:

I hope he don't get mad if I "copy" something that he did...I just wasn't seeing any other way... anything I looked as a possibility didn't feel very right... and, like you, I don't know very well this period...

Soon I'll post some progress

Pedro

Blue on blue will work great. Are you going to freehand a pattern on the tunic?

I think it looks nice, then with whites of the sleeves and with patters maybe in yellow...or white, or very light blue, may look nice.
Yes for the cape I'm gonna do some pattern...don't know if something close to the original box art, or more like Ernest has, or something else...
I have to think about that yet. And it will be freenhand ;) hope to do something nice ;)

Latest update, more some things painted and hat glued. The browns are just base as well as the bordeux.

Looks really nice Pedro!
One thing that caught my eye is the 5 o' clock shade on his face , it looks to greyish to me but it may be the camera shop.
to me the blue and yellow looks spectacular.
Best regards
