This is the figure that I’m currently working on. It is an officer from the Spanish Tercios and it is inspired by the picture from Ferrer-Dalmau, “El milagro de Empel” (Miracle of Empel). I attach a quote frome Wikipedia, it is worth reading.

The figure is commercialized by Getorix and it’s a joy to paint.
All is painted in acrylics. For the metal I used Vallejo ans Scale 75 metallic colors, Tamiya Smoke clear (with a touch of ak ultra matt varnish, as it is too glossy for this figure), Vallejo smoke and some whashes in black and brown.
I have to retouch a little bit the face as I’m not totally satisfied with it. I used the classic brown sand enlightened with sunny skin tone and light flesh, and black red for the shadows. Some tones with prusian blue and violet red.
Still a lot of work to do!
Thanks for comments and suggestions!
