Hi all,

This time I'm painting a Platoon/Pegaso figure. It's a resin casting in 1/35th scale. Because the face was lacking some character, I changed it with an Hornet head. The upperbody is supossed to be ready, unless someone points something out to me? As always I painted everything in acrylics. The pants will be in camouflage.

all tips, hints, remarks etc... are more then welcome.

Greetz,

Gino.

Hi Gino.
The face looks very good, with loads of character.
The black panzer wrap is very well painted too.
By the way,a ss chutze would'nt wear pipping on badges nor in the neck.
regards
jaume

Hi all

I've just started to paint the camo trousers of this figure. Of course all is done again in acryllics. Jaume (a.k.a. Homellop) told me the piping of the jacket needs to be black, so i painted it this colour. It does need to be highlighted and shaded.

All comments etc... are more then welcome.

@Laurent: I like the way you painted the black a lot. What colours did you use? BTW, I haven't forgot your figure, I will start painting it soo.

Gino

Hi all,

The figure is ready so here are some pictures. The figure is from Platoon with an Hornet head. Als is painted with acryllics and some Mig pigments were used to "dust" it. The towing cable isa Tamiya part and 9 fine copperwires. The grass is real Grass and some sea weed from El viejo Dragon. The base is DMC design. For the inrested: this figure is for sale and you can mail me for more details.

All hints, tips, comments, etc... are very welcome.

Greetz,

Gino

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Yes Mark, I will bring him with me this evening.

Hello Pete,

I don't know the exact name (I think it's pea dot). It's on page 183 in the Shiffer book Camouflage uniforms of the Waffen SS. The caption by the pictures read:" Unissued dot pattern drill trousers". I hope this helps.

Greetz,

Gino

Hi Gino,

very nice work, I like the face!

The Hornet head seems to be quite big compared to the figure, is it the camera or is the figure on the small side?

Regards

Luka
