hello
this is an young bust i saw and graped instantly.i added an iron cross first class and second class band as the collarpatches in milliput to give it some bling.its painted in revell acrylics.there good priced and work well for me.on the helmet i painted the insignia.its for the date of battle of bulge quite unusuall but i liked the look of them.so i painted them i think ten times untill i could like with them.i can warmly recommand this product to anyone.
if you want drop an line-critics or oppinion all is welcome.i know its not first rate painting:eek: and level of painting here is terrible high(y).but there are all levels of painters on the planet;)pics are with flash so the reds in face are very harsh.in real light its not so brutal.always hard to make decent pics.
cheers

Very well done Markus...good job on a difficult camo scheme.
We are all here to learn more about our hobby..and with help from each other..hopefully improve.....but the main thing is to ENJOY what you do..and how you do it...!!!
...and I love the cats...!!!

hello all
thanks for any comment
Winston:yes you are correct untill 42 the helmets where delivered with the ss emblems.then untill beginn 43 only the runes where still on them,.after this they where omitted completly.BUT i hasten to add there are pics from Kharkow which do show those emblems still on it.even at end of war some helmets had it.often because the men wearing them where longserving veterans.the helmets where often covered with the ss helmet covers and so them emblems did not wear of.
because i wanted to create an veteran i added some medals and the badges.and for some colour on helmet the badges.
thats the great thing with german army.ALL GOES.the collarpatches where normaly not worn on the peapattern uniform neverless they are pics showing those often even shoulderboards on them.
there are ss smokes altered with zippers at front ect ect ect....thats the heaven for painters you can nearly any uniform paint any coplour you want.because nearly all cuts where issued in any camouflage.and then there are the tailormade stuff from the regimental tailors.thats the reason i like doing german stuff as favourite.
cheers
hello steven
thnaks-i love my cats too. i call them always my hairy bunch-want not do without any.hope they will stay with me for still an long time

Very nice

The Pea dot camo is exceptionally well done. The face has all the right tones but just probably needs a wee bit more tweaking in the blending. All in all a very nice piece.

the look with normal light-as stated not so harsh-but if done that way then the camou shows not full...its an struggle
damn the bad flashlight:D
