This is looking very good Simon. The sculpting of the clothing so far is very convincing, this will be another belter from you.

Just as a matter of interest, if you are considering modelling more Legion subjects. On the Spanish Canova site there are a series of Legion figures by Mario Bueno from inception to almost present day, they are a little naive in places but eminently useable.

I'll have a look but my preferred method is using a plain dolly figure, I used to do it in 1/35th but Historex 1/30th is much easier. I enjoy both the build and the painting so I'm not going to take half the fun away! Still many thanks for letting me know.

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,
I believe we have our wires crossed, what I was referring to was a series of illustrations about a 100 in total with several figures per page. This series covers the Legion from inception to the 1970's I think.

Malkie
Well that would explain why I couldn't find them! Should be easier to find or do you have a link.

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,
Apologies for the delay but I had to re-acquaint myself with the site the I/d is miniaturasmilitaresporalfonscanova. This is mostly in Spanish but I do believe you can convert it to English it is a fine source of illustrations of all periods including many from the masters. I hope you find it of some use.

Cheers Malkie

Cheers Malkie, I kept getting lovely pieces of art by The Canova, all a bit large in scale for me! At the North Surrey Show today with lots of PFers loitering around!

Cheers Simon
