Hello friends.

I need a little help. Or better say another pair of eyes, yours. You know sometimes you become blind in work you do and don't see things like other do as you are too drowned in your project. So here is couple ofpics and I hope you tell me what you think of this vignette. Good and specially what you think I could improve. This is going to be in model show at Tikkakoski aviation museum at this saturday so I have time to make improvements if there is something to do. Feel free to be critical cause I need your eyes..:)

Hi

I've no comment about the figure or the groundwork, but I think you need to change the base, it doesn't do the figures justice, looks poor, tatty, sorry but you did ask for comments.

Over all this is a nice piece. Great action, and I think for the most part all the poses work quite well. My only two thoughts would be that the figures look like they could use a little more contrasts. That could be partly due to the photos. I also think the base could use a bit more in the way of added gravel and bits and pieces so that it doesn't look as if they are standing right on top of your prepared putty base. Blend it in with a few more bits of debris and small gravel. Ovear all nice work and a fun action-filled piece! Thanks for sharing.

Re:

Hi, Mikko!

Nice looking vignette you have there, really nice. Like Jay said, you could add some more contrast to the figures, paint different shades of khaki to accentuate the worn look of uniform, and each soldier could have different one (shade, not uniform:)).

Also, you can put a German helmet behind the kneeling soldier, so it should add more dramatic feel to your vignette as it should give more balance to the symmetry.

Cheers,

Nemanja

I'd add more debris as the setting doesn't look quite urban enough, but otherwise I think it looks superb. I'd keep the base and nameplate as they are

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the leader leans seriously to the left while the man behind him leans to the right; I think having them closer to being on balance would improve the symmetry. Since they're running they need not be perfectly balanced, of course. Also, the one who's been hit (right?) seems as if he's about to drop off the edge of the base. I think it would be preferable if he remained more inside the "cylinder" of space above the boundaries of the base. But congratulations on finishing a work which would take me forever to complete!

Hi,

This vignette gives the sensation of the horror of the battle, of the turning point of the WWII.
Congratulations!

Thank you for your feedback. Couple of good ideas came. I myself thought about those more debris and putting that stalhelm on somewhere, but now those are confirmed. As soon as this is finally finished I update thes pics.:)
