Okay, it’s taken me the better part of three months to get this one done, Stampede 1867 from Frank Miniatures in 75mm. When I first reviewed this for Armorama, I knew there were some nasty seams. Working on it, made them all the more problematic, especially on the steers. The kit was painted amost exclusively in Vallejo acrylics. There were a couple areas where an oil wash was applied, such as the forelocks on the steers and on the groundwork. The base is from John Jeffries of Long Island. I found the lightning image on-line and taped it to a box to hold it in place.

I really like this sculpt, and you have done it justice. I particularly like the saliva on the steers mouth .(not that Ive got a fetish for saliva!)well done.
Carl.

Thanks, guys. The "saliva" is Woodland Scenics Water Effects applied with a toothpick. It was encouraging to see these comments. As I moved along with this, I became less convinced I would be happy with the results. I'm sure you know how it is when you're too close top something for too long.

Great paint work and beautiful ground work.
I liked it very much.
The picture in a background is also wonderful.
I congratulate completion.
