Is the flag a decal of some sort or is it painted? If painted, please explain how since it is gorgeous.

Hi fluid, the flag is very well casted in resin and all the words and embroideries are engraved, no decal at all. All the detail of the flag except the red, white and blue, is golden, I paint gold tones first with a base of brown ocher and red, to get the dark tones, then ocher and yellow for base, and ocher, yellow and white for highlights. Finally all the details are outlined in dark brown, almost black. So the details are painted after a four steps process.
