I think that's enough steampunk for the moment but they were fun to paint
 
Frank, Huw, Gerald - thanks so much for the feedback.

Gerald, it is another kit by MDP I bought at Euro Militaire 2014 called "Thaddeus & Kei" but I've never seen it advertised on their site.
Maybe it was a one-off or end of line
 
I am guessing this was painted in oils 'cause if you don't keep a horse like this well oiled, the gears are going to seize up and the knees are going to rust:whistle:. Seriously though, you've done a great job(y)(y)(y).

FYI the horse was sprayed with Alclad Aluminium and Chrome over a black gloss which seems to give the best results for this type of metal finish. I've also become a big fan of Mr Metal paints whch I used a lot with these last two kits. You can buff them with a cotton bud almost as soon as they're dry and get quite realistic metal - especially their bronze and brass.
