good morning, if you are ready let's start our little course on painting the black prince crecy model 54mm. let's start by preparing the horse, after scyccating it with the two-component stucco and smoothing it, I sprayed the gray titan hobby primer. I gave it a first coat and then I corrected the imperfections, then I sprayed the horse again to make the horse ready for painting.

Brilliant Fabrizio, this will be very entertaining and informative, seeing how you produced such fantastic heraldry. You are very brave tackling this again, I think I'd need a year off to recover.

Cheers Simon

good morning, it's time to start painting the black prince. after having primed and touched up any defects we can start painting the horse's internal parts. to paint the horse's skin I use a reddish brown with a little black, while for the internal part of the caparison a light brown gray color. we will only give the basic colors, for the lights and shadows of the horse I will make another post. in the meantime let's paint the skin and the interior like this. the color must not be diluted much .you need to cover with the color in two coats. here are the photos taken so far

good day, now we begin to paint the horse and I start with the head, I enclose the colours used which are vallejo and andrea color. in the first photo the pure colours and then the mixtures that I used to paint it. I used the colours very diluted trying to blend well between them. then I used at the end a very diluted satin colour to imitate the horse hair. When I finished the head I painted the metal parts black and then I took the typographic silver colour and mixed it with humbrol gloss black to create the metal base. now I have to wait a day for the metal colour to dry and then I will start to make the lights and shadows. tomorrow we will finish the legs of the horse, the metals and we will start to prepare the caparison to paint the lilies and lions

Good morning, in this step of the black prince's horse we are going to do the metals. After giving the base I prepare to make the metals realistic and I use oils mixed with silver typographic ink, I use black and brown. I prepare mixtures ranging from pure silver to black and then I put small amounts of colour on the metal base and blend with a clean brush.
