Also started on another shelf grey, the excellent 1/6th bust of Stormtroopers British infantryman 88th Foot. Again painting in oils;

1st layers painted on Sunday and more colours added on Monday evening, so still needs to dry

Great start on this figure Steve I have painted this Guy myself I love these 1/6th scale busts from Stormtroopers.

Good start Steve. Got this one on the bench to start so will be following. What regiment have you chosen?

Hi Steve

Nice subject and start but thought you were on holiday ....lol

Following with interest

Happy holiday benchtine

Nap

nights draw in early now, so have had more time on Holiday in the evening than when at home. Need to win the lottery and retire here. lol

Started work on his 'Neck Curtain', needs some highlights adding and then dirting up a bit;

Painting it has also highlighted a small casting seam, which will need to be dealt with and then touching back in. Its not as white in real life :)

Started working on the shako; Shadows, highlights and dirt added to the base colour. Also added a base colour to the emblem which is a mix of yellow ochre and Iridescent white, gold is on its way - good old Amazon Prime;

Got matt varnish onto his shako and neck curtain, have blocked in the reds and started on the 'cross' straps, once the oils have dried a bit will add more white to the edges and then 'torn' marks. Leather belt has also been started;

Bit more wear and tear added to the 'cross belts' (if thats the right word for them), Detail to be added to the button straps (again if thats the correct terminology, apologies if not);

1mm Micro Chisel arrived yesterday so hopefully can get rid of that pesky seam on the neck curtain.
