This is one of the latest releases from Stormtroopers. Ensign, 28th foot, waterloo 1815. 120mm in scale consisting of 13 resin cast part and a brass rod. The figure has been sculpted by the very talented Maurice Corry and the colour box art is painted by Sang-Eon Lee.

All parts come well protected in a sturdy box wrapped in a bubble wrap bag. There is a painting/historical reference also included in the box.
The parts are exceptionally well cast with sharp detail no sign of air bubbles or major seam lines to remove, just the usual mould blocks to remove as with any resin cast figure.

A close up of the face and head show the quality and detail that Maurice has sculpted into the figure and the precision of the casting from Stuart Hale.

A closer inspection of the one piece casting of the body front and back shows off the detail and the quality casting of this figure.

The left arm needs to have a small mould block removed, the mould block on the right arm is small and on the peak of the elbow joint. I removed these for test fitting. Dry run fitting was good with no evidence of any gaps to be filled.

The flag is cast in a one piece section and the insignia is embossed onto the flag surface to aid with better painting. There is a piece of brass rod included in the kit that is used to locate at the base of the flag.

Other smaller parts in the kit. The sword hilt will need careful attention to remove the mould plugs around the guard which have been indicated with the red cut lines on the photo below.

Conclusion:
Another fantastic release again from a very well-known and talented sculptor, the colour box art by Sang-Eon Lee really brings this figure to life. The parts are very well cast with minimal clean-up and test fitting of parts that I tried was good. Another fine addition to the range for Stormtroopers, Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful figure and Tommi's review helps it stand out even more. Keep opening the box and gazing at it with delight. Thanks to Maurice for such a sculpt and to Stu for having the imagination to commision such a figure.

Wonderful figure. Just one observation; in the review kit here and in the kit I have the pointed end at the base of the brass staff is missing. Perhaps a packing error on all the kits?
