Stripping Acrylics?

Hi, I just took a stab at some M29 camouflage and I don't think I'm too pleased with the results. so, I need to take some Vallejo Acrylics off a resin figure... what should I use that won't damage the figure?

Brake fluid is your best friend in this case!

Brake fluid will work and Castrol Super Clean. Castrol is good stuff. Just put some in a zip lock bag, undiluted, with your figure, let it set for a while, and it will take it right off.

Easy-Off ovencleaner in the spray can works good too.

Oven cleaner works well on resin.

And with the last figure i was doing it works five times :lol: :lol:

Easy off oven cleaner (no fumes) - and a toothbrush for tight spots - will work well.

I'm a big proponent of Easy Off Oven Cleaner. It actually works better than my industrial grade paint stripper.

I've used oven cleaner and brake fluid. Brake fluid WILL create problems with some resins. If it were me I would stick with oven cleaner. It's reliable and won't likley attack the resin.

I guess I'm just out of touch. Rubbing alcohol with hot water works perfectly for me when it comes to stripping acrylic paint. :lol:
