I have discovered a box of old busts that I painted a few years ago and now wish to repaint them, how do I go about stripping the paint off them, I have tried normal thinners but this does not get all the paint off. Any ideas would be greatly received. Thank you.

Carl,.. clearly there are a plethora, of methods! .. However! .. for me! ,, I use 'Car-Plan', Paint thinner! . from a, Auto spares, shop. a green tin with, red/white label. I have yet to come across, any, Paint/Lacquer/Varnish, that this stuff does not get through within minutes! .. even after being on for some years! ... It stinks to high heaven, but seen as though 'Rustins', cellulose thinners are no longer available. this fitted in very well!

Whoo-Hoo! .. I still can get Rustins ! .. checked on Amazon! .. either of these will take back everything, 'Toot-Sweet', .. However, both still, Stink! ..

Wilkinson's own brand paint & varnish remover. It's about 5 quid a bottle, lasts ages and will get rid of anything. Doesn't smell very much either if that's a problem.
