Struggling to find a matching 'Hussar', Regiment. to a figure!

This one is making me go 'Cross-eyed',... I recently picked up a figure, of a French Hussar Officer! .. but on trying to do some initial research as to which regiment it depicts, I am truly struggling. The nearest that I can see is the, 5th or 7th Reg of Hussars, ... but the 'Shako', on this piece is causing me some confusion! .. this is only for future reference!

. . Any ideas ??

I think the figure is supposed to be wearing a shako rouleau, and for 1812 you can have 5th,7th,8th and possibly 9th but not got my references to hand. This would be red for most but sky blue could be a possibility for the 5th regiment.

You should contact bonaparts as they should know what shako it is,,,,,,I take it there wasn't any painting reference in the kit ?

No, no references! of any kind. ... I noted this, and others!. maybe this is the nearest,.. ... just need to confirm which Regiment ?? it looks like the 7th,.. however the sabretache on the kit is different
