It's accurate Steve and known as a Suebian Knot hairstyle which was the mark of a man and warrior.

You're dead right, I'd always assumed that CE stood for Cristian Era as an anglification of AD.
Common Era makes perfect sense.

I know - it's just that CE has the same starting point for the same reason (i.e. the proposed/accepted birth date of a baby boy), and without getting into politics or religion, as a non-believer I see no reason to go woke!

Interesting way to do the bust , it’s works imo but looks better and more flowing with the full sword scabbard

The tree is sold separately with a small stand
in two versions for 54-50mm and for 75mm-54mm

I think it will work on an angled or deep burl plinth since the head if turned so far to the right. The right shoulder would be the front of the piece.
