suggestions needed for hair colour

Painting "beauty and her champion" not sure if people are familiar with this piece basically it is a very large and menacing looking male with sharp teeth etc and leather and fur clothing and at his feet is a demure woman. I would like to paint his hair something other than black, blonde or brown so I was thinking some kind of red. Any suggestions for under coats and then oil colour I could use to paint the hair so it looks aggressive without looking gaudy?

I paint red hair with burnt sienna. Undercoat with VC burnt umber.
