Your're quite right Janne. I visit swedish army museum regularly and I always amazed how small the uniforms and shoes are. The regular swedish soldier in the carolean armt was around 160-170 cm. Howrever, still they were proportionate and as far as i know they didn't have extra small feet. I also think the style of the shoes, with the cut of front make them look smaller than they are. Nevertheless, Next time i put an extra effort inte the shoe business. :)
Thanks for your inputs gentlemen

Regards Lars

In the case of boots, they does not narrow down in the wrist like modern boots which also add to the short apperance of the feet.

Right again Janne. They look kind of wierd to us. My kids think all people in the past
were very small.

Lars, I 've been wanting to buy those Mussini heads, do you know any place that sell them???
I think they are slightly larger than 54mm and they'll go perfect with my 60mm figures.
Let me know via PM please.
best regards

Hi Lars.
It is so nice to see it finished:) I realy love this figure:) How did you do the yellow? It is such a shame that you can't get hold on those mussini heads anymore:( To be honest i am 1.70 cm high. So i am glad that i am not alone about that age. I should just have lived back then.

Janne Nilsson. Is it going to be something speciel SIG FIG this year at C4? i have been there two times. Love the show:) so do you have some more informations about it? is someone special comming?

Best Regards Daniel Østergaard:)

Thanks Daniel, I'm glad you like it.

The yellow is a mix of vallejo yellow ochre and flat yellow. highlights more flat yellow and salmon rose and light flesh. Shadows yellow ochre and german camo black brown. A couple of filters with flat yellow and german orange on the highlights and shadows respectively,

If you follow the link to C4 site you find info.
According to the info there, MIG is visiting the show this year.

Hello!

Last year Radek Pittuch held a seminar about figuresculpting and Emil Juhl about how to photoetch in the garage.

too bad, I try Mussini's website and it seems like it is not working.
As for the yellow, I love the mixed colors you've used Lars, they will go to my book of recipes :)

Tremendous piece.

Daniel, I've been hunting them mussini heads for a long time and finally got some of them from a gentleman in Italy. The website don't work and I guess the only way of obtain these heads is thru some private seller maybe E-bay. Sorry I can't be of more help. I believe there was two set of heads one in 54 mm and one slightly larger 60 mm.

Cheers Lars

Hello Figureteers!

I just got this tip from Mike Blank regarding the heads. See below.

"
Dear Friends

As a modeller who have used these heads, stock or converted, for many years I have some more info for you guys. These heads are sculpted by A Larruccia, (in my opinion the grand master of all miniature sculptors!) and are included in a mannequin 54mm figure produced by the Italian firm Friumodellismo, and are still available from Historex Agents. (FR-54)

Included in the kit is 4 heads, each with a different expression (shouting, smiling, etc). If you look closely on several of my figures you might recognise these great heads... !

Happy Modelling!

Mike Blank"
