WIP Swiss knight and big dog by Hawk

Afternoon, I just started Hawk Miniatures 14th Swiss Mercenary Knight with a big old dog.
Nicely sculpted. Facebook algorithm sneakily knew I was watching Crufts and suggested I buy this kit. It comes with a really nice base as well. Time for undercoat
The dog is a Great Swiss Mountain dog, similar to a Bernese. Going for that colour scheme

I take it it’s 3D ?.... looks very sharply done especially on the armour

Presumably he has headwear ....hopefully !

I would say it's injection moulded but very clean
There's a helmet.to be painted separately
I have no idea about the subject I loved the dog so had to have it

Dogs looking good, the markings are coming together nicely. I assume the markings are pretty consistent across the breed?

Yeah normally 90 % black with definitive markings of white and dark brown. Socks and stocking if you like
All have a white chest and blaze on head
I'm struggling to blend the white and black so may have to have demarcation line
Refence photos suggest black and white don't blend
