It is my pleasure to let all my fellow planeteers know that on Saturday the 14th of April 2012 the Darlington Military Modelling Society will be hold their show Sword & Lance.
Due to circumstances, we have had to change venues; the show will now be held at the larger venue of Darlington College, Haughton Road Darlington DL1 1DR from 10:00hrs to 16:30hrs.
This venue is both larger than the old Arts Centre but also has ample free parking.
Fro further info PM me, or contact Colin Holmes on phone 01325 489801, text 07958 702319 or e-mail [email protected].
Thank you, I look forward to welcoming you to our new venue.

Hi Dennis
Unfortunately I'm in Germany again during the show. Scotland now has set 'easter holidays' for the first 2 weeks in April rather than the shifting church calendar. My first wife (she doesn't know this yet);) still works in education so I'm stuck.
It's bound to be a great show and I know that Davey and the guys are planning to make a weekend of it.
Cheers
Derek

Dennis, got new batteries for my Zimmer so should be OK for S. and L..
A few of us fancy coming down then spending the sunday at Hadrians Wall. When I say a few, its a very few, two.
Looking forward to it already, and the thing you always avoid, its your round.

Don

Thank Lads I hope to see you all there, if there are any drastic changes I will post and let you all know.
Don, age concern have given the go ahead for your visit however they have told me not to ply you with strong drink, the authorities at Hadrian's Wall have been warned about your visit and they said "what more damage can they do?". Seriously if you do go to the wall you will have a great time. As I hope all guests at the Sword & Lance show have.
See you all soon.

See you there Dennis. Let me assure you Help the Aged and Save the Children both think its OK for me to leave Scotland (in fact they welcome it) and both said I can drink as much of Dennis's beer as I can get. We were thinking of taking Ronnie with us as its his ancestors that built "your" wall and as hes a builder he may pick up some tips.
It should be a very good show, it always is, and I urge anyone who has never been before to make it this year. Hope the new site is even better than the last and I am sure it will be a great show.

Don

PS Both groups (Help the Aged etc) dont expect me to get very much of Dennis's beer but I will try my best!
