A quick thanks to all the Darlington guys for yet another belter of a show.
Some breathtaking work and particularly outstanding pieces taking each of the individual category awards.
No doubt the photos will be posted over the next couple of days...........wait 'til you see the Best of Show...I won't spoil it for you but it is world class modelling of the highest standard (y)
Cheers and thanks again
Derek

Yep, agree 100%, a great day, a great venue with total daylight to view the club stands & traders & well organised,
Good to meet up with friends old & new, pick up some nice bargains & also to see some great figures & Busts.
Many thanks to the Darlington old guard, it wouldn't happen without your hard work to make it happen.

Hi Lads,
It's you guys that help make it a great day.(y) I thoroughly enjoyed it too. It was so busy, I did not get chance to get any photo's so I'm looking forward to seeing them as well. Del, I totally agree about the best of show, how shocked was he when it was announced.
I put my Roo in the same category as the Best Of Show:facepalm:. I done this on behalf of Ron Clark and he does not know yet. So well done Ron on a well deserved Silver.(y) Here is Ron collecting his silver award from the legendary Bill Horan, OK it's the chimp doing a Ron impression.:D See how pleased Bill was to finally meet the Chimp.
cheers

Cracking show as ever from the Darlo boys, there was some American guy there I didn't catch his name though who showed a bit of promise ;) the BoS was a stunner. Thanks guys see you next year.

I had a great day, many thanks to the Darlington boys for organising such a fantastic show. Im crap at meeting people so I'm sure there were plenty of planeteers there who I missed, sorry. I did catch up with Richie (I hope you got a good price for Bill's models ;)), Stu at Stormtroopers (thanks for the sculpting advice mate) and Darren and Michael at Tommy's War.

The competition was superb as always and the BiS was unbelievably good. I almost felt embarrassed putting some of my pieces into the comp but it was a great experience to have some of my models on display next to such high quality pieces. I like to think that I made them look good so, in a small way, I contributed to their awards ;)

Hi All, I have just finished processing all the photos from the show, I will start a new thread under Sword and lance 2016. and download them. Stand by.

If anyone wants a copy of the presentation photos, let me know and I will email you a copy.
Best in show is by Paul Duckers from DMMS, image No 20 and 21.

Id love to know where I can get those Asterix flats so if anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be much appreciated (I'm looking at you Roger)

I believe Wolf-Peter Sander is your man Billy, no website but his email is [email protected]
I can't help any further than that at the moment but I'll get back to you if I can find any further info.

Fabulous day out and great to catch up with so many people-congratulations to all of the club members for putting on a great show once again and especially to Steve Kirtley for his bravery in inviting Bill Horan to the show and making it a financial success.
