Taking care of our own
Having heard of the passing of Roy Hunt, as I’m sure you are already aware, there might be something you don’t realize.
Many of us who work for larger companies take it for granted that a pension and life insurance “come with the job” these days - we forget that the small businessman doesn’t have these benefits, and to that point I wonder if you might be able to help Roy’s Widow - Pat.
Roy had no safety net to make sure that he would have a good send-off, and with that in mind I would like to ask if any out there who knew him, knew of him, or just appreciated what he did for our hobby would feel like they could spare a small amount of money from their own pockets to send to Roy’s family to help them out.
It’s an unusual request perhaps, but one that in this instance I think needs making, and I’d like to think that we’re a close enough knit community in figure modelling to feel this would be the right thing to do for a friend and those he’s left behind.
Perhaps it could be instead of sending flowers, or even by way of buying one less kit at Euro. Either way, if you would like to help out, then please send a cheque to the address below ( which incidentally is the one that appears on Roy’s own website ) - made payable to Pat Hunt.
