One of my great heros is the animation artist Rey Harryhousen who pioneered stop/go animation in many Hollywood films, so when I came across a 75mm figure of talos on Ebay I just had to buy one, then a quick visit to the Baccus website provided me with some 6mm (1/300) figures which allowed me to build this:

Painting Talos was a new challenge for me, Ive not had to paint a lot of metal, other than the odd weapon or piece of armo ur. Using Vallejo paints I gave it a base of brass then overpainted. Using bronze. Changing to the Andrea Gold paint set I used the paints and inks to add highlights and shadows.

Great fun! Memories of watching Jason and the Argonauts of a Sunday afternoon on black and white telly.....

This looks good - maybe a wash of some dull mossy green to represent verdigris?

Yeah a trip down memory lane, lovely looking diorama done very much in keeping with the scene in the film, really quite like this.

Cheers Simon

Glad you liked the trip down memory lane - still one of my favourite films.

A blast from the past, great work love it. Now I think put the film on sit back and enjoy the memories again.

Superb job on that, I'd add a green/blue wash maybe to age it a tad possibly?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I may give Talos a bit of a greenish wash.
