Hi Friends,

Some time ago, I was registered in this forum, and now it's the moment to post another one of my works. :)

This is the Tamiya's Rommel 1/35, from its white box:
TM89629.jpg

It's the downsized 1/16 figure, completely different to the standard 1/35 Tamiya figures, it's highly recommended.

Only rest small details, and this is the result:

I like to finish it soon.

I hope you like it.

Best Regards All.

Very great work !

Could you tell me how you made the vest and the weathering of the boots ? Looks very realistic !

Laurent

Wow, stunning work!
You'd never say this is a plastic kit!

I particularly like how you painted the suntan and stark highlights caused by the North African sun.

Keep posting please!

Hi all,

Thanks a lot of your words about my work, now some answers:

Laurent, I use this mixes for the vest:
Base: 3 p. Marron Violeta 887 + 2 p. Ocre verde 914
Lights:
First.L.: Base + Carne Dorada 845
Last.L.: Anterior + Arena Clara 837

Shadows:
First.S.: Base + Marrón Violeta 887
Last.S.: Anterior + ***** 950.

I add more contrast to imitate the hard desert sun, gor the boots, I use satin blak, and I do the highlights with earth tones, until the dust finished on the upper zones, easier to do to explain.

Artur, very nice to say hello again, I'm very happy to see you at forums.

Thanks and Best Regards All.

I always considered this something of a ho-hum figure and not particularly exciting. But you've really brought it to life and it just shows what a difference a great paintjob can make.

Superb work, thanks for sharing.

Nicely done, I like your job on weathering/fading his uniform and on his weather-beaten face. If you hadn't given the scale, I would have thought that this was the larger figure. Well done1

Prost!
Brad

This is probably the best injection 1:35 figure painting I ever saw.
