Hello!

Thought I should post my latest painted figure. It's the new Templar Knight from Young Miniatures, featured on the boxart. It was great fun to paint!
Done in Humbrol Andrea and Valejo colours.

Andreas,

Very well done. A beautiful piece of work considering how difficult black can be. Also, the lighting in your photo really shows him off.

Nicely done. What I really like about this one is the dark palette really draws your attention toward the top and his head and face (the bald head being one of the best and most unique features of this piece) become the focal point. Nice stuff!

Great contrast

Andreas,
I think the contrast in colors between the face and rest of the figure is wonderful. The dark colors seem to frame the face.
Real eye candy,

Thank you all for the comments! As mentioned, I tried to make the viewer draw the attention to the face area by painting the rest of the figure quite dark and muted.

Regards.

A wonderfull piece of painting!
I really like you black tones. Can you tell me how you painted them?

The black tones are Humbrol flat black, flesh and oxford blue. Flesh is for making it look faded/bleached and the blue to simulate the skycolour reflecting the fabric. I did a quite light basecoat with this mix, almost grey.

Regards

Andreas I also congratulate you on this beautiful paintjob of yours. I really like this piece from Young Miniatures, and it's surely on my wish list.
