I think it's the angle of the photograph myself - the sword is face on whilst the scabbard is turned. Of course I state this with the caveat that I've probably got it wrong...

:cautious: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmh ..............

Uninspiring figure and a ho-hum paint-job.

Not Pegaso's finest hour.

The paint job does look 'odd' Not sure what it is though, the skin tones look a bit funny and the red cross on the shield doesn't do it for me.

I can't help myself but it reminds me someone like Ezio from Assassin's Creed. Only red cross doesn't make crusaders. I believe the sculpt itself is much more better.

I think that the scabbard is fine. If we look to the 3rd picture we can see it much better than the 4th (presented by Martin). In this one, the angle is misleading. I measured on the screen the blade length in the 4th picture and scabbard length in the 3rd and is OK. No problems here.
The figure looks good to me. Many nice beautiful sculpted details. I'm not very convinced about the cross on the shield but this can be fixed easy. The painting is a matter of taste, IMO. Very high contrast but, I'm sure, in reality looks much more better then in the pictures.
IMO is a nice sculpt and can make a very nice "atmospheric" display.
Cheers,
Zeno

Decent figure.I like Templar figures but how many can you have.So much in many different periods of history have never been done.

I like the figure, but I don't like how it is painted.
It seems that he has escaped from the coolmines........ Shading is done with black all around in my opinion.
A bit Iguazzu style but not completed yet.

Now there's a scientific approach - better than my approach of observation. Thanks Tiberius

Beautiful Sculpt - ideal for a secular Knight, but when Templars a no-go!

Templars had strict rules about what the clothing was concerned - this is written down in writing and received!

Even if you would like to take this cloth around the helmet turn a blind eye, go gloves at all.

These were only the artisans of the Order and the Church, not fighting, friars allowed!

But it must also not be the millionth Templar, as many were never in the Orient!

Dont have a real issue with the painting when I judge it agains my own but another Templer Kight, no imagination and would not look twice at it even with the name Pegaso attached.

Other than the head area the figure looks great..just soemthing about the head, or outfit around it that makes it look weird. The painting looks great to me, dont know why anyone would not like it considering its a figure youd buy to paint yourself..your not buying the paint job.
