What a great sculpt! The flat helmet and the plates on the abdomen below the surcoat dates this figure in the middle of the 13th century. This form of armour is rare on model figures and therefore highly appreciated! The shin pads do not match this date, they are fairly younger, but it should not too much work to change them with mail. The hair and beard are really gorgeous, but there should be some form of padding on the head as these form of helmets did not had liners as we would expect it today.

wow, this is truly an awesome figure and Ruslan sure worked his magic on the painting. This is in the "must buy now" file.
 
Certainly superb sculpting but surely the position of the helm and shield are strange.One would not hold a heavy helm on ones leg at that angle but move your leg forward so the weight of the helmet is downwards ,allowing gravity to take the strain.Similarly with the angle of the shield,although this could easily be rectified when assembling.
