This is going to be worth a medal Malc,
The whole figure is well sculped, with lots of details and dynamic pose.
I am really digging the reds on this figure.
Cheers!

Hi Daniel, yes this is a great pose, and well sculpted as you say.
Its coming together, although I think I need to tinker with the red a bit more.

A bit more progress today, the trousers were painted using the SC75 grey set.
The hems of the trousers have been dirted up a bit, but needs a little more work, the left arm
has now been cemented in position. It's going to require a smidge of filler.
Apologies that there's only one photo, the others I took wouldn't download. :arghh:

Hi Malc Terry here, it’s coming along very well indeed , loving what your doing with him.steve will be back next week. It’s ians turn to be off now his brother in law passed away yesterday so he’s now off for a while . We have had a bad few weeks. But looking at what people are doing with TFB figures, goes along way to cheering them up.

Keep up the good work

Not sure, the Red looks great to me but sometimes the color look different in pictures than looking the figure live.
I always tend go back and fix repeatedly when I paint Reds, not sure why.
I guess I am never happy with the reds unlike the Blues, which i find it easy to achieve

Thanks Terry
Please pass on my condolences to Ian at this sad time.
I'm pleased you like the way this is coming together, it really is a cracking figure.

Hi Daniel.
The reds do look a little different on the bench, but I think its more down to me never being satisfied with my results.
I'm my own worst critic.

I've managed to make some progress over the weekend. Some additional work has been done to the shirt and trousers.
Work has started on the groundwork, so it's just the rifle to complete.

Hi Malc

Catching up a touch , really nice work on this fellow , liking the weathering on lower trousers and as said by young Simon the seams are a fine bit of painting

Good work on the cap top with the lettering

Thanks for sharing the updates

Looking forward to seeing more

Happy musket and basework

Really nice Malc, hadn't noticed it before but I love the puckering on the seams, a really nice detail just for the sake of it.

Cheers Simon

Cheers Simon, Just thought I'd try adding a little detail.
I've carried out a little more work this morning, softening some of the shadows, and made a start on the rifle.
I'm hoping to finish it this week.
Sadly I'm not going to be able to spend much time and the bench now, due to unforeseen circumstances.
This may be my last figure for a while.

It's looking really good and with refinements will be great. Sorry to hear issues are curtailing your bench time, still some things require all our attention, the downside of being an adult I guess. I'll be looking forward to seeing you back at your bench as soon as you can, look after yourself mate.

Cheers Simon

This is coming along really nicely. Lots to admire here, and I am admiring a lot.....

Thanks Simon, Sadly some family issues have gone from bad to worse, and we're doing our best to help out.
Not only is this a great hobby, its very therapeutic too, so I'm hoping I'll be able to keep going.
