I'm backkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, sort of. To make a LONG story short....life has not exactly been good to me. However, thanks to my friends, I'm pulling myself out of the hell I found myself in. None of which would be possible if not for the help of my friends.

For starters, today a package arrived in the mail from Barry Biediger. Barry and I talked on the phone and he expressed his desire to get my rear end back into the hobby. Thanks to Barry, I now have some paints, 2 bases, 2 brushes, clay, static grass and two of my favorite Mauriuzio Bruno figures from Pegaso. Older figures sure, but ANYTHING sculpted by Mr. Bruno is worth painting. Besides....these were some of the first figures I ever bought from Pegaso.

So now, with Barry's help, I'm chomping at the bit to get started cleaning these figures up an getting my brush wet! The pics? Ahhhhhhhh, sue me. The pics aren't what's important. It's the fact that I'm back at it. Now I need to run.....I have some cleaning, pinning, priming and painting to do.

Later,
Jim Patrick

Here is to happy painting and happier times.

Great to have you back Jim! I kind know what it must have been like, I had a rotten event happen to me that kept me out of the hobby for over 17 years. Good luck!

THANK YOU TO ONE AND ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are the reason I'm back. I never really left.....sort of. I checked in here now and again. I jus didnt have the desire to do anything. Now, thanks to friends like all of you, I now have the desire again. The first figure is cleaned and pinned. Priming will come soon. I'll ask a little patience from you all though. First of all, WHEN I was sniffing the paint and soaking up the metal/ resin shavings? I was thinking I was slightly above average a few years ago. Now? I am CLEARLY way below and behind all of you. I need to relearn all of the techniques and colors all over again. Also, some of you might remember, one of the resons for stepping down from the staff a few years back was because of the chronic back pain I was having. I am now almost 4 weeks removed from having my L3, L4, L5 and S1 discs fused together. OUCH! But I am recovering now and will begin the figure soon. I'll post my work for you all here. Again, thanks to all of you!

Jim Patrick

BTW- Steve, did you ever start that Pegaso Rennaissance Knight? If not, let me know and I'll dig around my puter and see what I can come up with for you.

Great to see that you are modelling again Jim!
I missed your building threads.

Cheers,
Marcel.
