Just a short note to say "Thank You!" to all of the neat people that I met in Tulsa!!

An 8 1/2 hour drive isn't something to sneeze at, especially with today's gas prices but I went at the suggestion and invitation of Bob Bethea and enjoyed myself thoroughly!

So... Mark, Brian, Adam, Guy, Bob, John, Doug, Mike, Kim, Brad, Deeder, Moo, Soo, Scott, Ron and all the others.... What a great bunch of people and what an enjoyable time you afforded me! Great hospitality and friendly, relaxed artists willing to share their skills and concepts!!!!

The food was great, the hospitality better, the hotel comfortable (always fun to step out of the elevator and see a movie star stepping in... well, at least a great character actor anyway... Moonraker, Jaws...) and of course, incredible incredible figures and armor!!

Thanks,

Kevin D.

Kevin, glad you enjoyed the show. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope you'll come back.

Glad to have had the chance to meet and talk with you Kevin. I hope you enjoyed the show and plan to come back again next year.

yep,
I'm already finding time in my schedule between school courses, work and continued home renovation to clean up a couple of figures and paint something. I bought some great stands for a couple of figures in my gray army and am itching to complete and mount something.

Best,

Kevin D.

kevin,
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. I will be sure to shake your hand next year. Thanks a bunch for making the trip and comin' down to see us. I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Looking forward to seeing you there next year.

BTW, does that "Jaws" guy have a huge cranium or what! Even though he was sitting you could tell he was really a big dude!

CYA next year!

I had the feeling I was looking up at him while he was sitting!

Looking forward to having a nice display next year and getting to meet you as well!

I was just showing my wife the nice mahogany stand that I picked up at the show and intend to use with the 54mm Andrea French Lancer (leaning against the rail with saddle on rail).

BTW - I saw him in an interview several years ago as he talked about his acting career and his faith. He had become a Christian at some point in time before the interview. He really seemed like a heck of a nice guy BUT I still would approach him with.. "SIR," as the first words out of my mouth... ;)

Best,

Kevin D.

Kevin, it was my pleasure to meet you at the show. I am glad that you enjoyed your venture to Tulsa! I'm looking forward to seeing you and some painted figures next year.

Glqd you found the Tulsq show to be All I said it would be. hahaha

It is designed for fun and the show was showed more quality than quantity.

See you around in the near future.

In the very near future Bob! :)

As soon as I get this knee surgery behind me and become mobile, I hope we'll be able to hook up for some quality paint time if your schedule will permit it.

And yes, I certainly owe you for the suggestion to try Tulsa. A very nice show tucked into a weekend party just as you said.

Will talk with you on the phone or email soon,

Kevin D.
