WIP The 54th Regt - "Glory"

Hi folks

I haven't been too lax in painting department despite packing the house!!!

bought the MMM Private Trip and Sgt Maj Rawlins a little while back .....havent got Colonel Shaw ....so if anyone has that in the GA ...PM me !!!

Anyway ...minimal prep on both and to be honest I really enjoyed the painting ...so much I finished off Trip ( played by Denzil Washington ) before I realised it !!!

Then I began Sgt Major Rawlins..it's a great sculpt as well .......played of course by Morgan Freeman using these pictures as references

Here is where I am at the moment

Uniform and cap( less strap and peak which I will do once face completed ) and cheverons done , buckles etc done , eyes done, working on the flesh atm , leather belts etc to do

I have special nameplates on their way from Nameit

Yes quite pleased with the pinstripe on Trip and the weathered uniform on SM.......

You'd paint both up well mate ...pick up that gauntlet I've just thrown down

Might even have him finished before moving !

Very nice Nap, love both figures and a shame you can't get Shaw. One of my favorite films from my time re enacting. As an aside, the eagle badge on the Baldrick could be a silver coloured metal, which would have been a private purchase.
