Very nice John, I regret not buying this figure years ago when it came out. When I saw the title I expected it to be painted in the green of Berden's Sharpshooters so you surprised me there.... not that it matters of course.
The groundwork and especially the tree are really convincing.
Great job! The dirty uniform is convincing but the groundwork is really well done. Civil War figures are my favorites.
Although I've stopped painting for the summer, I was working on this one myself before I put the paints away. I was thinking about posting mine here as a WIP sometime in the next month or so.
I like your version a lot. It's always interesting to see the different ways people paint the same figure.
Hi folks, thanks everyone for your comments.
My english are not in the best of the world. Anyway, a good friend try to help me to responce. Hope his english is better, so if I am not respond imidiatetly to you, please forgive me.
See you soon. John.
Really nice work - but you needed to paint the uniform dark green. I'm a 1st U.S. sharpshooter (Berdan's) reenactor. This figure has a sharps rifle and the red diamond so it must be a Berdan - for the correct colors go to: http://www.berdansharpshooters.com/art.html
