Hi everyone!

This week we're featuring our dulcimer player! He is part of the 1st grenadier regiment of the infantry of the old guard (1805 - 1810).

View the dulcimer player on our website.

He's very nice... but that's not a dulcimer , at least not in English usage ! A pair of cymbals.
A dulcimer is a stringed instrument, in the form of a soundbox with strings across the top, struck with hammers.

The dulcimer would be similar to the Latvian instrument kolke, though the strings of the kolke are muted with one hand and plucked with a plectrum in the other. Just adding some info...I live in Latvia.
