Hi Steve,

If you are feeling really adventurous, some accounts refer to him having antlers which resemble branches. Now theres a challenge...!

Steve(y)
Up yours  You want antlers get your own and do it  Great idea though
Steve

Very nice idea with this bust(brought out the hippy in you:)). One suggestion I have is that you could highlight the eyes with a slightly lighter green:)
Cheers
Ralph
Could you elaborate mate do you mean the actual eyes or around them on the face ? Thank for the comments
Steve

Cheers Mark Rog and Gells I think I will add a bit more around/on him foliage wise it does sound a good idea
Steve

Cheers Ron as mentioned earlier not so much lateral thinking as cowardice seeing what others had done with it :shifty:
Steve

Disagree mate. Took a lot of courage to take an alternative route. More so to post it here, being that we are some of the harshest critics you will come across ;)

Ron

Mate I dont care how harsh it is as long as it is valid especially when it comes from people like yourself whos work I admire.

Hi Steve
The actual eyes themselves,as though you were painting the eye's but do them two third's as opposed to the whole and then a really light green/white as a catchlight
Hope this help's
Cheers
Ralph

Steve, I must admit! .. if and when I come around to doing this piece! ..your idea has stuck fast, in my brain! as it is such a great concept!(y) .. I may well have to, 'Half-Inch', it ! :D:LOL:

Mark

Mark look forward to your version mate . In all honesty I wasnt sure how well my version would be seen by other eyes glad so many liked it and really like the ideas people have given me..... Even Steve (Valiant) totally barking antler one ;)
Steve

Steve,

If you do, try using a bundle of thin wire, then tease out the shape with the loose ends, cover with a thin coat of Milliput, texture et voila - Antlers!!

Steve(y)

LOL! ...Or you could cheat! ..I bloody well would ! ... The end product is what counts

Thanks to Steve and Del   :nailbiting: it's no longer a completed WIP but not doing another thread here's the next part I present ANTLER MAN! A toy deer from the Early Learning went under the knife for these after a few aborted sculpting attempts ended in swearing and shouting  I also intend to add more foliage around and framing him. As ever comments good or bad gladly accepted
Steve

Crickey! .... you have gone down the 'Barking', avenue. This I did not expect! ... However, if I could be bold! and suggest filing down the tip's of the 'Antlers' into finer points ! ..clearly not razor like, but a much more defined tip ! as these look really quite rounded at the top! ;)

Regards,

Mark
