two things I liked straight away
- the smooth tones & blending on the monks outfit
- the ceramic effect on the flagon hanging from his belt.

Given the small size, you have done very well!

Great version of that happy "little" guy. Proud that I have got the last piece of the copies. But have seen so many wonderful versions of him, that it is difficult for me to paint him. I like the idea for your groundwork very much

Had this in my hands last night, the photographs although pretty good do little to show the real subtleties of this figure.
The orange in particular is superb and the ground work is beautifully done.

really good painting Sir, awesome blending and nice coloring. I asked Ben about "Happy Monk" because I want that mini too, they are thinking about making another series of casts... :)

Saw this one live the other night , the pictures do not do it justice here the orange tones are fantastic and shading has got to be seen to be believed .
