Hi all.

I'm going to show you my new rookie project. It's a heavyweight boxer . I want with this project to continue learning in this amazing hobbie of modelling.

I 'm proposing myself to reflect the facial expression of coloured people, with the anatomy of the head and body, so different of white people. I think a good way to learn it is sculpting an athlete, in this case a heavyweight boxer. PLZ be benevolent, I'm just a newbie

Then, let's get it started.

P:S: Sorry for my english :(

These are the pics:

Modelling the skull, basically, with 2 holes for the eyes, and filling these with 2 balls of Super Sculpey.

Adding Supersculpey for creating the basic facial muscles....

Beautiful work Alfredo............I really like the expression and character you have sculpted into the face.

Hello Alfredo,

that looks really great !!!

It´s very interesting to see your way of sculpting and I hope we will be able to see more of this good stuff.

The best wishes,
Markus

Alfredo, you say that you're a newbie  ?

Please stay that way  .........

Great and Realistic facial features.........

Keep it rolling..........

Ray ;)

Hi all, and thanks guys for your kind words. It's an honour for me to be posted for people who I consider as masters: THANK U very much.

And yes, Rej :) , I'm a newbie, thanks, so continue being benevolent with me ;) hehehehe. SHINING was my second figure and 1st bust ( My 1st figure is now hidden at the bottom of a chest (so bad), hehehe) and now I continue learning in this forum with all the works, taking ideas of each master.

And now.. the important thing...the pictures. I wait your opinion. In these pics I'll show the way i made the form of the head and the hair. But some friends suggested me to remove the hair. Then You 'll see the boxer with hair for a short time, hehehe. WILKINSON POWAH !!!

In next pics, I'll show the way I built the armature and haow I fixed the head to the torso.

THANKS A LOT, my friends

Dear Alfredo,

I really enjoyed your SBS. The head is very well done. You have captured the essence of the coloured folks. Looking forward to the rest of the figure.

regards

Hello Alfredo,

Your technique of sculpting the head very interesting: first the skull with eyes and teeth and adding the muscles layer by layer. That should be the proper way to sculpt heads (y) .

I cannot do it that way but in your hands, the result is very convincing.

He already looks like Muhammed Ali ;)

Looking forward to the next step.

Keep on rolling!

Quang :)

Hi guys !!!

I really appreciate your kind words and this good sense of humour

My objective is not only show you my job. I Hope u can get some ideas (rookie tips  ) for your projects. I like to share and that the people show their jobs too. I need to learn.

This hobby is absolutely amazing !!!!

Special THANKS to Wong, Jim Patrick and Wuang.

Now.... the pictures. I'll show you the way I built the torso, and how I fixed the head to it. Some friends told me about the possibility of shaving the head and the beard. I agree with them in shaving the beard, but with the head I'll do some tests.

In these pics U 'll see still with beard but not in next days. I hope U like it.

PLEASE SAY GOODBYE TO THE HAIR

I really like this sculpt, one thing has been bothering me, took awhile to figure it out, the wrinkles on the left side of his neck are too much. I understand you need some wrinkles for the pose, but those are either old man wrinkles or fat dude wrinkles........ BTW I liked the hair you had given him.....

Cool sculpt
