Dear Igor,

Wasn't Josef Stalin a short man? If so, I can only suggest that you shave a few mm off the upper part of his legs just below the coat. You might want to broaden his shoulders a little? This is not a criticism. Your likeness is remarkable. I wish I could sculpt like that.

Rgds Victor

Greetings, Victor! Your point of view is clear to me. Stalin was the person of average growth, also is well-known, that he was narrow-shouldered (narrow in shoulders). The top part of hips visually seems a little bit more longly because of short jacket. If them to truncate, anatomic proportions will be disturbed. To the proof I bring chronicle photos which took for a basis. Yours faithfully. Igor.

Stalin's proportions

Hi Igor,

thanks for wonderful pics and clarification on Stalin's proportions. Perhaps you can also clear up Westernised view of Rasputin's appendage...:)

I note that Molotov is in last picture? Are they carrying some kind of religious icon?

Best rgds

Victor

Thanks, Victor! On last photo it is valid Molotov, and also Stalin and Ordjonikidze (behind of Stalin). They are carry a coffin with a body, in my opinion, of Maxim Gorky (I am afraid to be mistaken). On that they participate in mourning ceremony specify black bandages on sleeves. Yours faithfully.

Very good likeness and folds, Igor.

The second picture seems to be from a show of collected german war material, right? I can see no other cause for a FW189 reconnaissance aircraft (called rama by russian pilots) to be in the background.
