This figure represents Gustave Schurmann, who was barely 11 years old when he volunteered as a drummer with the 40th New York and was presented the silver bugle by General Philip Kearny.

This kit is cast in 4 yellow resin parts and has minimal seamwork and cleanup needed.

The main part is the torso finely sculpted by Alan Ball and for the size is loaded with detail.

The bugle is cast with the hand and has a thin film of flash easily cleaned with a scalple or razor knife.

The head (boys size ) is finely sculpted with excellent detail and expression.

The sculpted base also has detail sculpted into it.

Conclusion:
An excellent figure depicting a young boy in the Civil War.
